Happy day, friends! I hope this Peachy Keen finds you content, possibly contemplating a delicious meal (or several) as I am. Currently, I’m working on the menu for Father’s Day at our house whilst contemplating all the ways fathers have shown up in my life for the better. Generally speaking, I dislike cooking - I once loved it, overjoyed that there was any domestic task I was remotely good at, but I blame the pandemic and the exponential increase in meals I had to prepare for that shift in opinion - but I still very much enjoy cooking and baking on people’s special days, and my husband rarely asks for anything, so it’s nice to have an excuse to spoil him. What would your ideal menu look like from morning to night?
The Joy Report: Something Happy Happened
While the internet is not exactly known for its uplifting nature - particularly comment sections - it does occasionally pull together in a beautiful way, and sometimes authors are on the receiving end of that generosity. We all watched with glee last year as a tweet from writer Chelsea Banning sharing her experience with a poor showing at an author event attracted attention and support from the likes of all kinds of literary greats including Neil Gaiman and Stephen King.
